At least 5 years of microelectronics development experience.

Motion Compensation Block For H.264 Implementing In Matlab

Hello,

I am working on video codec H.264. I am coding module in MATLAB. I want someone who can work on motion compensation module. Here is wiki link which gives you very rough overview.

It mentioned motion compensation methods such as VBSMC, OBMC, Qpel and Half pixel Motion compensation. I wanted to implement any of two in matlab, and compare performance based on MSE, PSNR.
Entropy coder and decoder will be implemented in matlab after Motion compensation block has been finished.
I need someone who can work on both or either. I have some reference material for motion compensation, but not for entropy coder-decoder.

I am working on VSMC using bottom up approach, and used huang lin report as reference.

Multiple Event Counter

I need a multiple event counter build around a pic16F877, the first and second counter must have 3 digits, counters 3,4,5,6,7 must have 2 digits. pic outputs must be in BCD in order to decode data to digits using a CD4543 per counter, inputs debounced and if posible an LDR to control brigthness. PIC16f877 it´s not a must but preferable.

Small Assignment Of Infrared Music Transmission System

This assignment is based on student budget.

The circuits are consist of Transmitter and Receiver, those two circuits are transmitted by Infrared LED (Tx & Rx).
It would be a simulation of the circuits, and the components hardware in the breadboard.

Illustration:
Mono or Stereo jack is connected from the transmitter, and we must have a tuner (variable resistor in transmitter) to tuning the volume, then we can hear the sound from the transmitter respectively.

The Objectives:
*Able to hear the sound at the transmitter as well as the input music (with any modulation technique, AM is preferable)
*Adjust the tuner, as to be the volume control of the sound

Components:
We can use any types of components. Simple basic Amplifier is recommended.
No need Programmable IC or microcontroller Unit. Just use an IC or OP-AMP chips.

The components that available at the moment right now,
*Transistor NPN BC548 and PNP 558,
*Mono Speaker 8 Ohms,
*UM66 and LM 386 for music,
*OP-AMP 741,
*Diode Zener 3.2 V,
*3 pairs of LEDs Transmitter and Receiver,
*Male jack 3.5mm (due to connection cable from computer to hardware),
*Female stereo and mono for jack 3.5mm cable,
*Voltage regulator,
*Some Capacitors and Resistors,
*Battery 9V 2pcs,
*Variable Resistors 10k Ohm, 100k Ohm

Description of Works:

1) Simulation of schematic the current circuits for both transmitter and receiver, by using Multisim or Proteus.
This simulation may be successful in the process, but it must applied to the actual components until the project works.

2) Full explanations of the simulation part. (Ms. Word files and component datasheets)

For instance;
* What modulation technique do we use.
* Basic calculations or any equations that require in the simulations
* Why we use this type of amplifiers? (i.e. OP-AMP 741)
* What the purposes of these resistor of … Ohm, Capacitor or any IC in the circuit,
* If the transmitter use modulation, how the demodulation signal going through at receiver,
* If the sound it is not clear as the input, what happened to the signals?
* Why it come with noise at the receiver?
* And other explanations, regarding how the circuit works properly.

NOTE : The job is only the schematic simulations in the software ($25) and full explanations of why it works and operates, I would ask some questions if necessary ($15). Therefore I will construct the hardware in the breadboard myself.

Motor Controlled By Proximity Switch, Design & Program.

I have a simple project that I need help with. I have attached a photo showing the layout. I have a battery attached to a gear motor that moves a magnet up and down slide that is attached to a pole. The motor is setup in such a way that the motor only has to run in one direction to accomplish this up and down motion. I want to setup a magnetic proxitmity switch at the top of the pole that will tell the motor to start and stop when it either senses or does not sense the magnet. My thought is that the best way to accomplish this is with a simple microprocessor with simple code that controls the power coming from the battery. It will run a pattern, Here is a breakdown of what I want to happen in the pattern:

1. Magnet in position 1 with proximity 1 recognizing it – Motor stopped.
2. Magnet in position 1 with proximity 1 NOT recognizing it – Motor Running.
3. Magnet in position 1 with proximity 1 recognizing it – Motor stopped.

I will need to be able to adjust the sensitivity of the proximity sensor so that I can get the magnet to stop in the right place. I need the project completed ASAP.
I think its pretty easy just the correct way to wire it, the programming, and what chip to use are beyond me. I am hoping to find someone who can work on this easy part because our next step is to include a timer and a remote to the next model and would like to use the same person for the next job.

SD Card EyeFi Power Modification -SD

Various Budget Bid are welcome.

I am needing to use a EyeFi SD card inside of a Bushnell 119435C to transfer pictures taken automatically to my iPhone. The EyeFi card has the software infrastructure to handle this. The card automatically transfers pictures when it is on a WiFi network and the iPhone has an application to recieve these pictures.

However, this trail camera uses a motion detecting system that power on only when something is moving in front of it, it then only powers up long enough to take the picture and save the picture to the card. At that point the power to the SD card is turned off. This does not give the card ample time to transmit the picture.

I need a solution for the power to stay on longer to give the card time to transfer. This needs to be done on the card side NOT the camera side. I need to the card to tell the camera to stay on longer. This needs to be able to work with other similar make and model cameras so updating camera software or in anyway modifying the camera is not an option.

This project is going to be pursued asap. Please provide your solution and we will begin immediately.

Low Cost Linux NetBook

Hello, and thank you.

We are seeking a partner to help us source a low cost netbook that runs a full linux OS. The target cost is $100 or lower.

The specs needed are already found in another product. They are displayed here: http://lkcl.net/arm_systems/CT-PC89E/

(We may need to make minor adjustments to the design e.g. upgrade the CPU to the same one to the 833mhz Samsung S5PC100. This CPU takes DDR2 RAM rather than the slower DDR1 memory which will bring down the costs and improve system performance).

However, the product above violates the GPL licence and thus dealing with it may result in copyright issues.

We are looking for a partner to help us build OR source a similar device. If need be, we will provide our own custom Linux distribution to work with this machine.

Kindly note that we welcome any other low cost full linux laptops that you may have in mind. The only "must have" feature is:
-3G modem with integrated SIM card slot
-Cost should be as close to $100 as possible

Please note that the price you quote on this project is not the one we shall use if we agree – we will likely change the price as we come to an agreement.

GSM Magnetic Stripe Card Reader

I am looking for someone with high experience in GSM/GPRS and SMS data transmission. I need the qualified bidder to build a GSM Magnetic Stripe Card Reader. After the card has been swiped, the data has to be sent via the GSM module to a phone number of my choice.

Also most importantly the reader must be able to read interrupted swipes. (If the card is swiped half way and then back out and then forward in a fast,slow or jitter motion), the magnetic reader can still read the data from the card.

It also must have a long life rechargeable li-ion battery. The device is required to be portable, so the PCB is required to be as small as possible.

Skilled Engineer Needed

I will vaguley describe what I want to make and give details to the winner after an NDA is signed…

I want to find an engineer (or engineering firm) to design an item which will involve the following things:

-Plastic housing similar to that of a TV Remote (injection mold)
-Two AA or AAA batteries.
-A remote control with two AA or AAA batteries.
-A motor which will slide something.
-I assume it will need a PCB, but I dont know much about them so you would have to tell me.

Basically, its a device which will have a battery and you can use a remote from a distance (20 feet or so) and it the motor will activate the item. To give you an idea of the size, one component is the size of a Blackberry cell phone, the other is a remote with five or six buttons.

I am only looking for someone who can handle the engineering and electronics. If you cannot handle the electronics and the engineering, please do not bid!

RC TO GSM/GPRS/GPS CONTROLLED CAR

Hi Engineers.

My title says it all. I want to control an RC car or plane or helicopter using gsm/gprs.

Transmitters in remote controls are usually low distance. I want to be able to control it over long distances. I can only think of GSM; If you have other ideas please advise. Lets say i have a plane and want to fly it 100km away (if fuel was no problem for now). I want to control it with my pc; keyboard or joystick/pad. I would also want to have a camera on board the plane for which i can have a view.

Project must be completed with detailed instructions.

Verifone Or Ingenico Wireless Modification (Dummy)

Need someone who can modify a Verifone VX670 wireless pin pad, so that it will record track 2 and pin for debit, cc transactions. Need to print out receipt and need to have a menu for Debit and Credit which if it chip card will ask you to insert card.

This will be a dummy machine, if you know what that means, and so if you can do this software modification with another pin pad model or brand, then I am also interested.

You would have to be in the Greater Toronto Area, as I am sure you will need to physically hold the hardware, if not just pm me on how you can achieve without the hardware.

Flow Chart (Microcontroller)

Basically, I need a heat blower to be located at the aircon outlet. The heat blower will adjust the temperature with the room being cold by default. The chart should comply to the following:

1. Set temperature for room
2. Sense the room temperature
3. If too cold, heat blower increases heat
4. If too warm, heat blower decreases heat
5. Back to sensing room temperature

Electronic Audio Switch

Hi I need a simple switching device that is triggered buy and audio spike of sound

I have a trifield natural em meter

An iPhone that is programmed to record once it receives a sound spike in volume

And a hand held scanner that is tuned in to a specific frequency

the trifled meter will pick up any radio signal and will beep once there is one, I need this to then trigger the audio gate to open and let the sound come through from the radio scanner, once the sound comes through it will trigger the iPhone to record the audio samples

USB Keylogger HW And FW Development Based On Vinculum II

Build HW design of USB keylogger/analyzer and develop appropriate firmware for it. HW would be based on Vinculum II device from FTDI + external FLASH memory + RTC IO.
