I need to develop a python script to insert a line into multiple text files to be specified by a wildcard, with line number and the string to insert. please note that the string may have double quotes.

for example, the script can be executed as:

python26 insLine.py *.xml 1 <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
this would be used to insert the xml header. please note that the double quotes need to be specified somehow.

Syntax:
python26 insLine.py _filemask _line# _string to insert
where _line# can be a number from 1..n, or by writing END which will insert at the end of the file.

Convert A Python Script To A PHP Script.

We have a Python script which is built to send leads, and we need to have it in PHP instead. This script is right now 77 rows, and some of them are blank = a pretty small script.

Why do we need it converted? We dont have access to the server where the rest of the system is hosted, and we need to be able to run a PHP file instead.
The script is used for sending a copy of every registration from our system, to another system. Its works like this:

1) A visitor enters our homepage, and are exposed to some offers.
2) The visitor enter his or hers details and can say yes to some offers.
3) After the registration is complete, the script runs every 5th minute, and then the registrations are sent to another company which handles the offers.

The only thing you need to do is to take the Python-script and make the same functionality in a PHP script.

Need Help Writing Plesk 9 Vhost.conf File

The title says it all really! I need help from someone who knows Plesk to write a vhost.conf file to basically add an Alias to some sites I host.

In simple terms I need to alias a directory e.g. /administration in www.mywebsite.com/administration so that it uses files from /var/www/vhosts/anotherwebsite.com/httpdocs/administration

Simples. If you know how the Plesk vhost system works its probably a five minute job. Conversing with me over IM or email will take longer than the work itself!

Anyway, I need help to make it happen quickly and Im happy to pay someone for the help. Easy beer money for someone.

Wxpython Configuration Window

I need to write common configuration window for my application, using my custom config module (with simple api: set, getInt,getString, save IIRC) and predefined list of config variables.

It should be written in wxpython2.8 and python2.5. It could be VERY nice if coder use svn/subversion to upload the code.

Also, it will be big plus if coder will make unittest case for this window (using unittest module and unittest utilities/classes already existing in my code)

Pop3 Unread Mail Check And Filing In Maildir

The aim of this project is to have a script that will be run on a unix box every 10-20 minutes. The script has to do the following:
1. Check a Pop3 mail account for new mail.
2. For any new messages, download the message details (header, subject, body, etc) and store the new messages inside a maildir as compatible with postfix and the like. There is a specific python library for this (http://docs.python.org/library/mailbox.html)

I do not mind the structure of the script but would like to keep it simple. I would think that there would be at least one function to check the pop account for mail and a second function to be called for each new messages downloaded from the pop3 account. This second function would do the storing in the maildir.

Any further recommendations could be discussed, but this should be enough information to get a quote. Fast turn-around is appreciated.

Pls read the above description carefully. I have been burnt several time on GAF for developers not reading the requirements properly, wasting their and my time.

Essentially I need a website that will serve as the main point of focus for a development community. This project can be created with pretty much anything, as long as all dependencies run on Linux just fine.

There must be a way for users to apply for an account and then a way for administrators to approve or reject account applications. When an account is approved, it will be created and other accounts will be created for things such as WordPress and IP.Board through XML-RPC. All account material must be securely stored within a database using a cryptographically strong hash algorithm (SHA-256) and appropriate measures must be taken to reduce the usefulness of a dictionary attack on the range of passwords within the database (salting, HMAC, etc).

The website will be showcasing projects made by users. Each user should be able to create a "space" within their "showcase"; all of this is similar to how such things work on Assembla with their portfolio system. An owner of a project can also set their project to be open for peer review. The peer review system should simply be a commenting system for the project and the owner of the project should be able to rate the quality of each review. Projects have files, so there will need to be a way for a project owner to upload files as well.

A more complete specification of what needs to be done will be available upon closure of this posting. The selected bidder is subject to an extensive interview process. For tax purposes, this offer is only open to United States residents who are legally permitted to work within the United States. Bidders should be at least 18 years of age or have a portfolio of work they have done. A portfolio is preferred for all bidders, or at least some example of their work. Long term positions may be available for those who complete this project effectively.
