I need graphics for an app will allow you to view a list of your favorite television shows, and quickly see when they will be airing next. It will likely be called "Upcoming Shows."
I would need at least:
* App icon – must be original, distinctive, and catchy. If the design you choose to do is a television (I cant imagine anything better), it should have something extra to make it distinct from just a tv set (ie, not just a picture of a tv).
* 2 or 3 tab icons (each with both selected/not-selected states): Upcoming shows, Recent shows, and Search. Its up to you how you want these to be. They DO NOT have to be original. Search can, and probably should be the stock android one.
Optional – these are not required, but itd be really great if you can include these in your bid. They do not have to be original either:
* Some sort of graphic upon which to write the number of days, in a list view, as seen in this: http://www.tvstatus.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/MyShows.PNG
(note, the main functionality of this iphone app is what Im recreating, for android)
* A favorites icon (e.g. a heart) with two states: selected and not selected. Similar to a rating star in the Market app. This would be shown next to the name of each show in the search list, to let you quickly add a show to your list of recent/upcoming shows.
I have no pre-conceived ideas for the icons, so assuming you are a professional with excellent work, I dont foresee asking for revisions. Youd have complete freedom to design them as you see fit. i.e. Im not picky as long as it looks beautiful and professional.

We are a small educational magazine publisher and want to produce a basic app using two of the popular characters from our junior maths magazine.

We are looking for someone who can create an app that is compatible across iphone, ipad, Android, and Blackberry. The app needs to be capable of controlling the devices GPS features in great detail and with great precision. The app must be capable of logging information from the GPS and transmitting that information to a web portal. It will also need to be capable of controlling the entire phone when activated so that the application is all that will run when activated unless a certain button within the application is pressed. We want to make sure that you cannot accidentally press a button on your phone and exit the app. The app must be capable of transmitting data to a web portal via data, phone, and SMS. The web portal portion of this project should be capable of interacting with the phone app via the web, another words, the information stream should be two ways between the web portal and the app. The app will also need a built in feature which allows users to comment/like the app on Facebook and Twitter.

Environment:
Mac Intel > Mac OS X > Boot Camp partition > VMware Fusion 2.0.5 > Windows XP VM > Quicken application.
Problem statement:
I have Mac OS set up to shut the machine down each night at a certain time. If the VM and App are still running at the time the Mac initiates the shutdown, the shut down fails. Therefore the machine stays on all night.
Required functionality:
A means to initiate shutdown of the particular application daily at a designated time, so that the VM and App are not present when the Mac OS initiates auto shutdown.
A means to set the desired shutdown time.
Settings to remain remain intact and execute each day without further intervention.
The need it to not execute (or fail and exit cleanly) if the VM and App arent present, so that the environment is left in a condition that allows the nightly shutdown to complete normally.
Documented script (if applicable) so I can learn a little about it.
Instructions for installing the script or code.
I think the solution is probably a script that VMware fusion would execute, but there may be other technical approaches. If there is a freeware solution for this, I would pay a (reasonable) finders fee in such a case.

If you are familiar with Google Talk you know that when someone is "Available" a "green dot" shows next to the persons name. So my idea is that when this green light illuminates then one of android ringtones would play. So you would be audibly notified that the person is now available.
