Overview: The objective is to develop the first of about 20 sites that sell books online with the capabilities listed below at the lowest reasonable cost.

Hosting:

Upload to hosting servers and set up URL

Must be hosted by company that allows multi URL hosting on one account. Please suggest or look at something like HostGator.

CMS:

Content management, use an existing bookstore skin.

Need recommendation on what CMS to use: examples are JOOMLA, DOT NET NUKE, or similar. Idea is to have books listed as products (100 – 500 products) with price, ISBN etc. displayed for purchase. Nice to haves would include ability to add video and or customer ratings/reviews about the book. Other product data may be required to fulfill script transfer file to fulfillment house see below.Product page URLs to have title and author information in URL for SEO. Add some type of flash to homepage skin to display and move various featured book covers. Upload modifications such as new jpgs to replace generic placeholders.

Shopping Cart:

Set up ecommerce gateway.

Please recommend cart that would work best with the CMS you propose. Needs to allow payments from Visa, MC, Amex, Paypal. Possibly add amazon payments later as an option. Needs to bill for shipping options and those need to be made consistent with options offered by fulfillment house see below.

File Transfer Script:

Needs to have a script written that will transmit a data file (fixed width TXT file) once an order is placed to fulfillment house or on regular time schedule to fulfill book orders. A developers guide document exists for this. To be passed in XML using a POST operation in SOAP. That is what the developers guide says.

API for Infusionsoft:

Set up transfer of customer, order, promo code and product information via API from shopping cart to Infusionsoft. Infusionsoft developers guide available.
