Joomla Website IE8 Problem

Joomla 1.5.15 is not displaying in IE8 correctly. I use firefox and have only just noticed!! I have lost contact with my web designer and need the problem sorting as quick as possible (business website). I have researched the problem and it seems common one, and easy to change….if you know how…and i dont!! Please help.

Rocket Theme Deployment On Joomla Website

I need a Rocket theme set up on a Joomla site in the next 24 to 48hrs. I would like 8 pages set up with my logo in the header and all rocket theme branding to be removed. It is a transparent site and would like a different background used. I need drop down menus to be functional linking to my other pages, one of which will be a photo album. I want the site built out enough so it easy for me to go in and make changes and add content to what is set up by you. I would really like a video embedded on home page, but need to keep project cost down. I need it done as quick as possible and I have the content ready. The Main content of the site is recruiting people

People visiting site will read the details etc
and click on Join Us button to fill the form.

When user submit the form they will receive dynamicly filled forms ready to sign! with ready template email and client will be able to edit this mail template via admin content section in Joomla!
so
Fill the online form and Submit
receive an email with unique link (for uploading files back)
if user dont upload the forms after 3day auto email will send again with the same unique link and if user already send the files in other way then for this we will have another link saying ( if you already send the files click here to stop this mail) in any case we will not send mail more than 3times . 1st mail after 3day / 2nd mail on 6th day and 3rd mail on 10th day.
for each sent there will be different template on admin page so client will be able to edit !
and there will be Thank you template email when user upload the files

When user upload the files into system they will receive Waiting for Approval message.
Files will be stored as ZIP file
and admin will receive notification email with unique link and users details that belong to that user! and this link in the email is to aprrove to send the second group of files!
so admin will check the uploaded files and if all ok admin will click on link to aprrove the user to receive the second files.!!

when user upload the second files user will receive Thank you message !

after submission

the forms all in JPEG format so forms will no generated dynamicly !script will use PHP to write over Image as text all the matching fields from the online form on to file form

This is two sample page to use the content and to get the idea for recuiting people , you can use any other sources if you want to get an idea but you need to make a totaly different website

This project is on mockup base so you need to create the site on your server and demonstrate it the first page . functionalty will be done after project been awarded. you will be awarded after you mockup been accepted by the client ! so every mockup link will be forwarded to client.

Hello all,

I have had a website built in Joomla, which had planned to have an online shop (using virtuemart) and various features. Unfortunately due to Webmaster´s ill health she was not able to finish the site or online shop. I am looking for a Joomla expert with extensive experience in building online shops with Virtuemart. The ability to speak English to a reasonable standard is imperative. Having the ability to custom code in PHP and use CSS is vital too. This site is for an international client and the work is on-going. There are also other projects on offer for the right web expert.

Initially this will be to finish the site and build the online shop. There are only 4 products for sale but will be sold internationally. More details once I receive bids.

Custom Intro Paragraphs For My Joomla Website

I run a Joomla content based Cleveland sports website at www.theclevelandfan.com.

We use the News Show Pro GK1 extension to display columns on our front page, and have it set up where the first 80 words of each column display on the front page to tease the articles.

Ideally, I would like the option to be able to replace those first 80 words with custom text to tease the piece. Often times the first 80 words are not represntative of what the piece is about, or maybe the column starts off with a table or header that looks poor in the front page teaser text.
