We operate our own dedicated Webserver that is running Ubuntu 10.10
– 64 bit with the latest versions of a MySQL compatible database, WebServer
and PHP software. Need a programmer to compile from source for performance
and or compatibility reasons. Should be familiar with the various
compilation switches and the optimization of size and performance factors.
Should have good English verbal and writing skills, e-mail and Skype.

We are looking for a software to be developed from scratch.

Our website is dedicated for fans of a football (soccer) club, developers wishing to bid should have a basic understanding of football as it will make it easier.

After every match played, an online poll will be launched on the websites forum (invision power board) asking members to rate each players performance, based on those who played the game. This poll should only be able to be created by a moderator or administrator and will ask members to score each player out of 10. The poll should only stay open for 24hrs. The poll will display results for each player based on an average.

I would also like the software to include referees performance, and management (ie tactics, substitutions) in the poll.

The information harvested from this poll will then be able to be used by Joomla, either as a plug in, and in real time. Site users will be able to track players statistics via a joomla profile for each player (see attached file). The information will also be used and attached to the bottom of match reports posted on Joomla, showing the player ratings from that particular game. There should also be a page showing players ranked by performance.

We are wanting a comprehensive system here, and are looking for an experienced person, with a portfolio of past work to carry out this job.

Joomla: Performance, Database & Pictures Issues

I am hosting a Mediatemple Dedicated (VE) 4.0, with 4GB of ram, and more disk space than I will ever use. I am upgrading from their 3.5 (VE) hosting, because of the option of better performance.

What my Joomla Site is doing:

On the 3.5:
1) Some of the components that were customized due it conflicting with a Joomlart template I bought, because Joomlart using mootools, and the component used jquery. So I had a programmer here from freelance, fix this issue.
2) Then I started to notice that the same component, which was a gallery did not let me upload photos any longer. Which I still need to get fixed.
3) Last thing that was effecting the site was, pictures disappear when I refresh a page. When I refreshed an article the pictures disappeared, but if I cleaned the cache they were back. Dont know what the solution to this is, as I have not found it. But this is a problem that needs to be fixed.

Testing on the 4.0 (VE): (not yet moved)
1) So far, the migration hasnt worked.
2) Simply reuploading from the old site is causing very large use of resources on the 4.0.
3) Last thing I am going to try to reinstall a fresh Joomla 1.5.22, and then export the database from the 3.5 into the 4.0. And reinstall all the new components. Hopefully this sorts out the issues.

**** But what I need fixed are the issues with 2, and 3 on the 3.5 (VE) server I am on.

Need help to diagnose and fix slow MySQL performance and slow SSL performance in a live Internet retail store. Site is an X-Cart implementation running on a LAMP server in a Plesk environment. Site performance is slow when adding items to the shopping cart, and very slow during the checkout process, notably when switching from HTTP to HTTPS. Shopping cart and checkout system use AJAX and Javascript in addition to PHP and MySQL. Performance issues may be related to Plesk environment, so knowledge of Plesk is essential.

Im looking for someone who can help in writing my MS thesis entitled "Performance Analysis of ISA100.11a Based Multi-hop Communication System".

In this thesis I would like to study the performance of a wireless multi-hop kind of communication system thats based on the industrial process and control communication protocol ISA100.11a. The study will have the outage probability and the BER as the measures. MATLAB codes are needed to simulate the performance and compare it with the analytical results.

Please dont bid unless you are 100% capable of doing a full thesis that tackles all these requirements including: deriving the formulas of the outage probability and BER for such system (different scenarios are going to be considered), generating MATLAB codes that simulate the performance of such system and comparing it with the analytical results, and finally writing the thesis in academic way to be submitted as a MS thesis.

There is another part of this thesis I would like to simulate too. I really cant post it in public since its my patent. However, I can share it with you if you feel you have strong background on both wireless communications as well as MATLAB programming and you feel you can do the first part easily

This project is for a login area of a site that will capture basic information about the user and a calculator. Once logged in the user would be able to access the calculator.
The calculator is for Performance Verification for industrial air blowers. It would need to be able to take a set of multiple input fields and calculate some complex formulas into output. User should be able to adjust a field and update values. It return values should update real time.
Calculator should be able to select different unit of measure for input and different values for output. Also should be able to select two different languages for the field titles.
Formulas and fields already in a working excel document just need programed and formated better for the web. The code needs to be written so it can not be downloaded and used.
May also need the possibility to track data entered by user.
Must be able to sign a non disclosure agreement. Once signed the bid picked will be given the excel document with formulas and general layout.
