I contracted some developers to build an application for me and its mostly done but there are a few bugs and I cant get a hold of them to make the necessary changes.
I have a background in software development but I havent really stayed up with the latest Java programming standards and I want to bring someone on who has.
The first phase of the project should be very simple. I just need one or two bugs to be fixed and the new SSL certificate to be installed on my server.
I wouldnt expect it to take more than 1-3 hours.
I would like to partner with someone who will be available for future work as well.

We have a WordPress website that was moved from shared hosting to VPS and now it is loading slowly. We spoke to the web hosting support and they told us that the reason the site is slow now is as follows:
"Regarding the slowness, it looks like its caused by the fact, that PHP is running as CGI, which causes high disk io during every single request to every single page on your site. Please try to switch PHP to run as Apache module or rebuild PHP with FastCGI support."
We need someone who understands the needs to resolve this issue, and has a knowledge of WordPress and MySQL databases, to perform the needed and help our website to once again load much faster.

Objective:
We are looking for a developer to extend / customize the Magento SOAP API to support Creating Orders via One Page Checkout or equivalent.
Description:
We have an existing custom web application that already has user membership functionality, amongst other things.
We are willing to create corresponding user accounts on Magento (this functionality I believe is already available out-of-the-box via the existing Magento SOAP API / customer.create), however we want to be able to simply point our users to an <a href> link to the one-page Magento checkout, while logged into our existing system.
This would allow us to utilize the Magento SOAP API so that our users can make purchases via Magento, without having to rebuild the existing site around Magento simply for this ecommerce requirement.
Note that out of the box Magentos SOAP API contains an Order API, but its available methods do not include a way to create orders. We are looking for a skilled Magento developer that can build an extension to the existing Order API to support creating orders via a one page checkout or equivalent.
Deliverables:
1. Code to extend the Magento – SOAP / Order API to support creating orders via one page checkout or equivalent.
2. Proof of Concept PHP SOAP client code that invokes the newly created SOAP API methods for creating an order.
Other Notes:
A. We will not be able to provide our existing web application code, due to NDAs. However we will be able to provide relative information in regards to how our code will be invoking the extended SOAP API methods.
B. We can also provide remote access to a clean Magento installation during development, as well as all the necessary user credentials.

Role would be:
– Speak to the customers who are already interested and calling in and guide them, inform them, show them how to use the product. Yes you may even need to show the customers how to use the product if needed now the good part is that they can only ask you to show them how to use the product only after they have purchased the product so we know that they are not scamming us or dont just want our agents to get naked. The agent working will know who has bought the product and who has not. The good part is that you do not need to be naked on the job all the time (you ll only need to get naked for the customers who purchase and ask on how to use the product) but you would need to wear sexy clothes.
This position pays $8 per hour basic plus bonus (you can easily make $12-15 per hour). Our chat support people make around $2 per hour as bonus on top of their basic and you will surely get more bonus because you ll be selling more then them.
There are three shift options:
1) A full time position of any 8 hours of your own choice in the day.
2) A part time position of any 4 hours of your own choice in the day.
3) Weekend position (full time over the weekend).

My company has developed a support dashboard for an NHS (Healthcare) customer that allows them to see the messages that are flowing through their middleware environment and identify any potential issues before they lead to major problems for the business.
This is a very JSP based simple app, all the Java coding has already been implemented by us and it currently just has 2 jsp pages.
We are currently in the process of configuring this dashboard for another healthcare client and I want to take the opportunity to make the dashboard look more presentable and professional, like an Integrella product.
However this is only a cosmetic change and thus I just want a quick tidy up on a small budget initially. Once this phase is done there is a chance the customer may want to customise it further in which case we may require some more help around that too.
The finished HTML needs to be clean and easy enough for a Java developer with minimal HTML and JSP experience to be able to use the HTML for their needs.
