Im building a website and tried to integrate the facebook like chatbox for private chat found here: http://anantgarg.com/2009/05/13/gmail-facebook-style-jquery-chat/ ( = pre cometchat). This doesnt work for me because it writes usernames into the mysql database. i cant change it in the jquery / javascript scripting. I need this feature for my site with the userids into the mysql and the usernames in the chat-header and chatbox.
Thats it.
User Integration Drupal/vBulletin

Hi
I have a website in a Drupal platform and a forum in a vBulletin platform. The two user databases are separated, so my users have to login twice if they want to post a comment in both platforms.
This project is about making user integration between the two platforms, so my users only have to login once. I only need a simple integration. Not an exchange of profile pictures, user information ect.
Problems to deal with:
1) I first had the forum, so when I made the Drupal website, I exported all the users from vBulletin to Drupal. More than 95% of the profiles in the two user bases are therefore the same. These usernames are the same, but the passwords where not exported, so they may be different in the two bases. It is crucial that a user having a profile in both platforms is merged, so the user is recognized as the same person.
2) In the forum the user have an opportunity to login with a Facebook connect. How will that work with user integration between Drupal and vBulletin?
3) I hope that the user integration can be made so it is equally if the user login via vBulletin or via Drupal.
Ideas about how to do it best are welcome. I am looking forward to your bid.
